The New Westminster Family Place Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dana Osiowy as Executive Director. Come and meet her!
Dana brings to the role an extensive background in not-for-profit management and a deep passion for the mission of Family Place. Dana was previously the Engagement Manager with Vantage Point which has equipped her with a depth of knowledge on capacity building for the not-for-profit sector. She is a former executive director with Big Brothers Big Sisters and before that she worked for Kootenay Family Place in Castlegar, BC. Dana moved to New Westminster in 2015 from the Kootenays and has become a deeply entrenched “New Wester” and loves how community minded and walkable this big-little city is.
Dana’s hire comes after an extensive executive search following the retirement of Marjorie Staal, our long-standing executive director. Marjorie retired in May of this year and our transition followed her 27-year tenure which supported the growth and sustainability of Family Place for three decades. Dana begins August 21, 2017.
